Serving La Crosse County (School Districts of Bangor, Holmen, La Crosse, Onalaska, and West Salem)
Mission: The La Crosse County Prevention Network (LCPN) exists to promote and support the development of prevention programs that address alcohol, tobacco, and other drug concerns as they relate to areas of youth risk behaviors. LCPN strives to establish and strengthen collaboration among communities by drawing on private, public, and individual resources for the implementation of multiple environmental strategies across multiple sectors.
The La Crosse County Prevention Network focuses on the following two goals:
-
Goal I: Establish and strengthen collaboration among communities, private nonprofit agencies, and Federal, State, local, and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth.
-
Goal II: Reduce substance abuse among youth and, over time, among adults by addressing factors in a community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse.
