CESA #4 faces the challenge of preparing educators and administrators for the 21st Century digital society. It is this challenge that drives our technology staff to ensure that all CESA #4 school district members are equipped with skills focused on Digital Age Literacy, Innovative Thinking, Effective Communication, and High Productivity.

If your students need to be prepared to live, learn, and work in the Digital Age, then our CESA #4 school district members can be leaders in helping assure that their teachers, administrator, and paraprofessionals are ready as well.

Mission:
CESA #4's technology mission is to promote and provide 21st Century skills and quality learning opportunities for CESA #4 school districts and staff members.
 
Vision:
CESA #4 technology vision is to provide leadership, training, and support in the use of information and technology tools to improve student achievement.

 
Goals:
  • Assist districts in determining technology needs
  • Facilitate development of long-range technology plans
  • Develop responsive and proactive technology training
  • Provide assistance in integrating technology into curricula and instructional practice
  • Facilitate collaboration among educational stakeholders to provide & help them create sustainable professional development
  • Promote and coordinate e-learning & distance-learning technologies
  • Provide access to materials and resources to support local and regional instructional technology activities
Beliefs:
  • Students should be learning with technology, not solely about technology.
  • Technology should be infused into the curriculum based on the Wisconsin Information and Technology Literacy Standards.
  • Technology use should be monitored and updated for effectiveness and appropriateness.
  • All educational stakeholders should be involved in the implementation and use of technology.
  • Staff development should support continuing technology education for staff.
  • Technology should be adapted to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Engaged learning is enhanced through effective technology integration.
