Programs:
As Program Director of Educational Technology and Digital Literacy, Kaye works on CESA #4 projects that include the infusion of educational technology and digital literacies as an undergirding support (think bridge-building) for Educator Effectiveness, Common Core Standards Instruction, RtI, PBIS, just to name a few. A Google-Certified and SMART Technologies Certified Trainer, Kaye and her Tech Team will host numerous Technology Infusion Workshops at CESA #4 as well as offer Service-by-Design professional development on-site, meeting the individual needs of our CESA #4 districts. Her main goal is to teach educators how to reach all learners at all levels at all times, using the digital tools available to them.
Education / Background:
Kaye earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees at UW-Eau Claire.
Kaye brings over 20 years of classroom experience to CESA #4. Her first teaching experience came in Grades 3 and 6 in the Whitehall School District. She has spent the last 13 years in the Black River Falls School District, serving as Grade 8 English teacher, Team Leader and Technology Integration Coach. She is eager to bring her strong classroom connections and passion for student engagement and achievement to share best practices and developmentally appropriate instruction to connect the world of educator accountability to the digital world of our students.
Professional Affiliations:
Kaye has served as President, and now Past President, of WAMLE (Wisconsin Association of Middle Level Education). She is an active member of WEMTA, ISTE, ASCD and has presented to and trained a wide array of levels of educators, parents, business owners and administrators. She serves on several ISTE SIGs (Special Interest Groups) to further advance and advocate for digital literacy in our students. Likewise, Kaye is active in the EdCamp movement sweeping the nation with plans of bringing EdCamps to educators in the CESA #4 region...and beyond.
